Bestselling Novelist to Teach Dialogue Workshop

"USA Today" bestselling novelist Pamela Schoenewaldt will teach a workshop on improving dialogue from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 28, at the East Tennessee History Center.Workshop attendees will, "Learn to recognize and create succinct, effective dramatic dialogue, avoiding common missteps. We'll use exercises, lecture and examples," Schoenewaldt said.
The workshop is open to writers of all levels and any genre involving speaking beings. Attendees are encouraged to bring examples of their own or another's dialogues.
Schoenewaldt is the "USA Today" bestselling author of "When We Were Strangers," "Swimming in the Moon" and the forthcoming "Under the Same Blue Sky" (May, 2015), all by HarperCollins. Her short stories have appeared in literary magazines in England, France, Italy and the United States. She taught writing for the University of Maryland, European Division and the University of Tennessee and lives in Knoxville with her husband, Maurizio Conti, a physicist, and their dog, Jesse.
